Lepo daybed project started from a self-initiated exploration to design and study large furniture pieces that could be flat packed. Special attention was paid to joints and connections. We also wanted to use masculine materials and methods into creating very feminine forms. The project was also a study of scale and comfort and thus multiple iterations, and versions of the day bed were created during the process. Textile design was created in collaboration with Sarianna Niskala.
